About Matura

Matura is located on the North Eastern side of Trinidad along the Toco Main Road and is known as a nesting ground for Leatherback Turtles. This is a main attraction for both locals and tourists.

Small and medium sized businesses such as guest houses, parlours, mini marts and bars are all dependent on the visiting community.

Matura also offers its beautiful bathing sites that are accompanied by its captivating scenery.  The village is quite known for its fishing trade, Grouper, Kingfish and Lobster are main catches associated with this location of the ocean.
