Bacolet
Bacolet is a town and suburb in the city of Scarborough on the island of Tobago, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The town itself lies beneath Fort King George at the Bacolet Bay, just outside the city center to the south-east of the island's capital. It is one of the most developed parts of Tobago, and much of the island's high society lives there. There are also many villas and hotels for tourists such as Bacolet Beach club, Blue Haven and Half moon.
It is a residential area mostly invested by foreigners. Top Notch Restaurnats such as Café Havana, Blue Crab offered a wide array of dishes for you to choose from.
Scarborough
Scarborough became the capital of Tobago in 1769 when it replaced the then-capital of Georgetown. Under French rule it was named Port-Louis from 1789 to 1814. The city of Scarborough serves as the main seat of the Tobago House of Assembly which is responsible for local governance in Tobago.
A ferry service links Scarborough with Port of Spain, Trinidad. Like the rest of the island of Tobago, Scarborough is served by the A.N.R. Robinson International Airport (formerly Crown Point Airport) located in Crown Point which is located 8 miles from Downtown Scarborough. Scarborough is also served by the Claude Noel Highway. The town itself maintains an unpretentious local feel, with wooden ginger-bread houses alongside more functional concrete structures. The Scarborough Mall, across from the harbor, is home to the tourism information office, and the best place to in town to go shopping.
