About this Property
Balmain in Central Trinidad is fast becoming one of the main hubs in the north-south sub-urban areas as it is developing quickly with many beautiful housing developments that are attracting executives and professions countrywide. Central Park and Roodal Park are no exception to the growth that is developing in the Balmain/Couva area. Opposite to Roodal Park and just behind Central Park lies Circular South Road, Calcutta #2 in Balmain, Couva showcasing 2 exquisite, well built and finished homes for sale. The street is currently designated to be upgraded within the next couple of weeks as the road was partly destroyed during the building period of all of the other large homes over the years that were built on this street. Fortunately, the 2 homes that have just been completed are the first two on the street so they are situated close to the main road.
This executive two-storey house built with the fine details of a beautifully finished home is ready for an owner who would appreciate the fine details with which the Developers have built this house. The highest quality porcelain tiles adorn the floors on both levels while the kitchen cabinetry showcases the fine teak wood as does the beautiful teak staircase up to the second level of the home. There is also a huge loft in the ceiling with a pull-down staircase for additional storage.
Entering this property, one drives through an electronic gate into an electronically automated 2 car garage. There is an entry door off of the garage. The main entrance leads through a short foyer into the main open plan living room, dining room, family/TV room areas and the teak kitchen that boasts ample kitchen cupboards and upper cupboards to the ceiling. Off of the kitchen and TV room, is a lovely back porch overlooking a big garden in the back where one could have a beautiful garden or put in a pool and gazebo and still have enough room for a nice-sized garden.
Broad teak stairwell leads upstairs to 3 good sized bedrooms sharing one bathroom with a massage shower system and rain head, and the huge master bathroom outfitted with an invigorating and relaxing hot tub, massaging shower system with a rain head and a double sink. Off of the bathroom is a spacious walk-in closet. All of the bedrooms are air-conditioned with ample closet spaces.
This house is move-in ready, looking for the appreciative owner.
About the Region
For many years, the village was little more than a clearing in a sugarcane field. The population was mainly indentured workers of Indian origin with a smaller number of former African slaves and numbered no more than a few hundred. Couva continued to grow in size with the national census recording a figure of 3,572 persons in 1980. Couva benefits immensely from its unique location. The Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway ensures easy access to Port of Spain and San Fernando, in addition to the neighboring towns of Chaguanas, Arima and Point Fortin. Transportation, Public Service Utilities, Shopping, Recreation and Entertainment, Health Care, Businesses, Schools and Industrial Centres are readily accessible. The urban structure of Couva is similar to that of most towns in Central Trinidad with a mix of residential and commercial activity within the town centre itself, i.e. along the Southern Main Road, recently people have begun buying land and starting their businesses out of the town centre areas. Couva is the administrative and commercial centre of the region and the Point Lisas Port and Industrial Estate falls within the Greater Couva Urban Area. Most popular sites in Couva are now the Brian Lara Stadium where the CPL is held. This attracts many tourists to come sit and watch the exciting cricket matches
