Carenage
Carenage is a town in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. It is located in northwestern Trinidad, and is administered by the Diego Martin Regional Corporation. Located close to Chaguaramas, it is more of a residential area than a commercial or industrial locale.
The name is derived from the practice of careening (i.e., beaching, "carénage" in French) sailing vessels for maintenance, which had been done in the area for many years.
Chaguaramas
Famous for hosting Carnival fetes and having an array of party clubs which signified a high level of night life activity, Chaguaramas is also well known for hosting its Ms T&T beauty pageants.
Many locals as well as tourist’s flock to this beach to enjoy the newly built board walk which provides entertainment and relaxation. Many yachts are parked at the “Yacht city” as Chaguaramas is home to the yacht or marina services and anchorage of Trinidad.
Chaguaramas facilitates one of the heliports in Trinidad. Recreation such as golfing is also available and hiking at the beautiful Eden Falls provides more relaxing activities and restaurant and tours provided by the known Spectrum Charters and Dinner on a Yacht for you to dine in.
