About the Region
Princes Town is a town within the Princes Town Regional Corporation, located on southern Trinidad island in Trinidad and Tobago. The population of the town is 28,335. It serves as a major administrative centre for a substantial area of south Trinidad, and has developed a reputation as a major shopping town for the southern region. Princes Town is also known for the famous Ali family, who set up many established "doubles" institutes, a famed local delicacy. Also home to a former Prime Minister Mr. Basdeo Panday. Home to places such a performance and events venues, Super shopping centres, churches, temples, gyms, beauty salons, local entertainment, health centres etc. Princess Town has a wide variety of persons visiting to partake in these activities and services provided. Siparia is a town in southern Trinidad, in Trinidad and Tobago, south of San Fernando, southwest of Penal and Debe and southeast of Fyzabad. Also called "The Sand City", it was originally a non-Mission Amerindian settlement. Siparia grew to be the administrative centre for the Saint Patrick County, and later the Siparia Regional Corporation. Today it is a commercial centre and market town serving the surrounding agricultural areas and oil fields. Siparia is home to Trinidad & Tobago’s first female Prime Minister (2010-2015) and now opposition leader Mrs. Kamla Persad Bissessar.
Williamsville is a populated are located in Princes Town and can be accessed via the Corial Road or Garth Road, Trinidad and Tobago. It is known as a residential area. There is a main recreational ground known as the Brother’s Recreational ground where many cricket competitions are played. Williamsville has much small businesses that support its community such as, mini marts, bars, parlours, liquor marts, auto care etc.
